Frequently asked questions
Will you combine postage?
Yes, I'm very happy to combine postage on multiple orders. If you send me a message before ordering, I'll create a custom listing for you at the combined shipping price. If you've already placed multiple orders but I haven't dispatched them yet, don't worry - get in touch and I'll refund the difference in price.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
All my items come beautifully wrapped, but I'll always try to accommodate any special requests. Just select the gift wrapping option at checkout then let me know what the occasion is, who it's for, or if you'd like me to add a handwritten message.
What condition will my item be in?
My listings are for vintage and antique items, so they will all show signs of their age. I make sure to include lots of photographs and a thorough description of each item, but please get in touch before buying if you have any queries.
Can you source specific books, authors or topics?
I'm certainly willing to try and find something in particular, but as I'm searching for vintage and antique books I obviously can't guarantee success. Please send me a message detailing what you're looking for, and I'll get in touch to discuss it with you.
Do you take wholesale or bulk orders?
If you're interested in purchasing large quantities of antique or vintage books, paper goods or ephemera, please send me a message to discuss.
How long will my item take to arrive?
Within the UK, my items usually include free P+P and are sent via the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service (unless otherwise stated on the item listing). I dispatch items within 3 working days (normally faster) and the Royal Mail aims for delivery in 3 working days, so your item will generally arrive within 7 working days. Please choose the express shipping option at checkout if you'd like to receive it faster.
International orders are sent on an individual basis, so please see the item listing for details. I always send non-UK orders with a tracked service, but obviously once I've posted the item it's out of my hands and I can't do anything to speed it up (however much I'd like to!). Please get in touch if you have any queries.
Why hasn't my item arrived yet?
As I'm sure you already appreciate, there are various disruptions to shipping at the moment, so items may take a little longer than usual to be delivered. Once I've posted an item, it's quite literally out of my hands and I can't do anything to speed it up, so thank you in advance for your patience.
When it comes to shipping, it's a sad reality that occasionally couriers will lose something in transit. In these circumstances I will generally issue a full refund if an item hasn't arrived within 30 days. It's heartbreaking when it happens, so please don't hesitate to get in touch so we can resolve the issue.
What if I'm not happy?
Don't hesitate to contact me! Most issues can be avoided by checking the listing carefully and making sure you're happy with the item's condition before buying. Vintage books don't look new and they'll all show signs of age and wear, so please bear this in mind.
For returns, postage costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Please get in touch if an item has arrived damaged.
I want you to love your purchase, so if you're unhappy please give me the chance to resolve the issue before leaving a poor review.
